Overview

Ready to share what you know?

A 4-H presentation is a great way for youth to build confidence while teaching others about a topic they enjoy. Whether it’s animals, cooking, science, crafts, or another interest, presentations help youth develop valuable public speaking and communication skills.

Join us for this virtual 4-H Presentation Workshop on Zoom, where youth will learn the basics of creating and delivering a strong presentation. We’ll cover how to choose a topic, organize ideas into a clear introduction, body, and conclusion, and use simple techniques to speak clearly and confidently. Participants will also hear tips for success at County Activity Day and have the opportunity to practice in a supportive environment.

Participants who attend this workshop and present at County Activity Day will be awarded $20 from our 4-H VLA (Volunteer Leaders' Association).

What to expect:

  • How to choose a great presentation topic
  • Tips for organizing a presentation
  • Public speaking and presentation skills
  • Practice opportunities and helpful feedback
  • Tips for preparing for County Activity Day

This workshop is great for both first-time presenters and youth who want to improve their skills. Families are welcome to join and learn alongside their youth.
