Certified Safe Baby Train the Trainer

Join the Safe Baby Team by becoming a Certified Safe Baby Trainer to help prevent infant deaths. Cost: $375 per person

Join the Safe Baby team by becoming a Certified Safe Baby Trainer to help prevent infant deaths by providing education on how to choose a safe caregiver, prevent Shaken Baby Syndrome and follow safe sleep practices recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. Participants will also learn about the dangerous impact of Distracted Parenting.

Interested candidates will be asked to complete an application to demonstrate previous training experience. Attendees are required to participate in a 2-hour in-person Safe Baby training on Thursday, May 7th , from 2pm-4pm and in-person on Friday, May 8th for a full-day interactive training to become a Certified Safe Baby Trainer. The registration fee also includes a comprehensive Safe Baby Train the Trainer Curriculum and access to the training materials.

Once certified, Safe Baby Trainers can conduct trainings within their own communities at no cost to the organizations receiving them. For more information, please contact Nancy Hankin, nhankin@hstart.org.
