The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance's mission is to serve as a positive voice for mountain biking in Boulder County, Colorado by improving the trail experience for all users through social rides and events, advocacy, and trail building. WHO THIS CLINIC IS FORTo attend this clinic, you should be confident on your bike with a solid understanding of basic skills (our Fundamentals and Climb &amp; Descend classes are a great place to start). You must be able to demonstrate a ready/attack position at the beginning of class and have a working knowledge of various kinds of wheel lifts including front, rear and level lifts.DESCRIPTIONYou’re an intermediate rider ready to get air. In this clinic designed for more experienced riders, you’ll discover how to begin to get airborne with basic jumping skills for obstacles like tabletop jumps and small jumping obstacles on trail.In addition to reviewing Climbing &amp; Descending skills you’ll learn how to:<ul><li>Review wheel lift mechanics</li><li>Manual and bunny hop</li><li>Safely approach a jump and boost the lip to get higher in the air</li><li>Landing mechanics and tips for movement in the air</li><li>How to avoid common jumping mistakes</li></ul>Maximum 10 students. No matter how you ride your bike, you're about to ride it better!Clinics meet on the east side of park by the dog park. Meet at the picnic table pavilion.Start Time: 5:30 pm (please be there at 5:15 pm to allow ample prep time)COSTWe love to ride and we know that you do too so we try to keep our expenses low and then pass that savings onto our members. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who remains present and responsible for the minor at all times. Drop-offs are not permitted.If a rider sustains a head impact or is suspected of a concussion, they will be removed from riding for the remainder of the clinic.For permitting, planning, and payment purposes, you must sign up if you plan to join us.BMA has a 24-hour cancellation policy.
