The Boulder Mountainbike Alliance's mission is to serve as a positive voice for mountain biking in Boulder County, Colorado by improving the trail experience for all users through social rides and events, advocacy, and trail building. WHO THIS CLINIC IS FORYou’ve been mountain biking long enough to be comfortable on singletrack trails. You know how to shift and brake and are comfortable at a trail area like Betasso. You want to get better at getting up, over and down natural trail features like rocks, roots and logs.DESCRIPTIONLiving in Colorado, it seems we’re always going up or downhill. In this clinic for more experienced riders, you will continue to find ways to improve your riding. We will spend the beginning of the class reviewing Foundation skills and then apply these skills to navigating up and down rock features throughout the park.WHAT YOU’LL LEARN<ul><li>Navigate roots, logs, and rocks in both directions</li><li>Perform wheel lifts for clearing obstacles</li><li>Apply climbing and descending techniques</li><li>Roll down large drops and land air-off drops</li><li>Dismount while climbing or descending</li></ul>This is an intermediate class.Maximum 10 students. No matter how you ride your bike, you're about to ride it better!Clinics meet on the east side of park by the dog park. Meet at the picnic table pavilion.Start Time: 5:30 pm (please be there at 5:15 pm to allow ample prep time)COSTWe love to ride and we know that you do too so we try to keep our expenses low and then pass that savings onto our members. Our goal is to make our clinics accessible to everyone and to grow Boulder's awesome cycling community. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who remains present and responsible for the minor at all times. Drop-offs are not permitted.If a rider sustains a head impact or is suspected of a concussion, they will be removed from riding for the remainder of the clinic.For permitting, planning, and payment purposes, you must sign up if you plan to join us.BMA has a 24-hour cancellation policy.
