Montana Hope Project 6th Annual Pickle Ball Tournament “FUN”DRAISER

The Lodge & Resort is excited to announce we are partnering with Montana Hope Project in our Sixth Annual Pickle Ball FUNdraiser Tournament being held on Saturday August 22, 2026. We cannot be more thrilled to partner with the Hope Project to support kids with life threating illnesses. 100% of registration fees will go to this important and special endeavor.

The Montana Highway Patrol started the Montana Hope Project in 1984 as a way to give back to the communities they serve in a special way. Their mission is to fulfill the dreams and wishes of Montana children who are suffering from terminal or life threating illnesses. The most popular wish is to travel to Disney World which costs on average $10,000.

The Montana Hope Project will have their swag trailer here and there will be a silent auction to to support the kids.

TOURNAMENT LOGISTICS:

• Tournament (1-day event) date August 22, 2026.
• Mixed Doubles only tournament.
• Round Robin tournament with a team guarantee of 4 games.
• Lunch provided.
• Tournament will be held on four courts all within 1/2 mile of each other and water stations at each court.
• There will be three divisions with self-rated standings of novice, intermediate, and advanced .
• A maximum team cap of 36 teams total.
• Registration fee for each team of two is $150 ($75 per player). This will include a box lunch per player.
• Registration will close August 10, 2026 or when team caps have been met (possible wait list if needed).
• The tournament will go from 7:00am-7:00pm.
• Check in will be at the Lodge’s flag deck located lakeside on August 22 at 7:00am.
• Shuttle service between courts and the flag deck will be provided.
• Additional snacks, breakfast items, lunch items and drinks will be available for purchase at Mary's Coffeehouse.
• If you would like to stay at the Lodge either in a cabin or RV site, please call the main number for reservations.
• The Lodge will be offering dinner starting at 5:00. Reservations are recommended.
• The Lodge will be providing fee service bar menu and casual dinner on flag deck.
• Live Music for all to enjoy Saturday evening.
• Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams in each division (no money purse).
• If the tournament is canceled due to weather, registration fees will NOT be refunded or pushed to next year. This is a great cause, and we want to give the Montana Hope Project their donation.

RULES OF PLAY:

• Round Robin play with guarantee of 4 games
• Mixed doubles only.
• Players call ball in play (no court monitors – trusting honesty play)
• Round Robin play is a single game to 15, championship play is 3 games to 11 (have to win by 2)
• Top 2 teams in each division (most wins during round robin) play in championship
• If tie occurs in most wins, most points scored in round robin advances team on to championship
• Games start on designated time
• Need signed waiver to play
• Positive attitudes and encouragement (A “FUN” fundraiser for a great cause)
• Follows regulation rules for pickle ball tournaments
• Turn in winning ticket (if winner) to bracketing deck after each game
• Tournament may cancel if severe weather conditions
• BIGGEST RULE – HAVE FUN!!!
