Wine reception to follow

Created and hosted by poet and former Greenlight bookseller Angel Nafis, Greenlight’s Poetry Salon welcomes locally and nationally celebrated poets for a powerfully moving and joyful evening of wine, poetry, and performance.

April's featured readers include celebrated local poet and educator Andrés Cerpa, author of The Palace, charting a family's journey to build a life and home in a world of violence and economic collapse; local founder and co-director of Project VOICE Sarah Kay, author of A Little Daylight Left, a blueprint for discovering beauty in all that makes us human, with her signature wit & wisdom; BOA Edition's A. Poulin Jr. Prize-winning poet Leigh Lucas, author of Splashed Things, a dark humored and deeply moving debut that examines the chaotic terrain of grief following the suicide of a former boyfriend; and two-time New York Foundation for the Arts poetry fellow Rachel McKibbens, author of Pink Elephant, a debut collection of emotionally searing poems depicting the fractured mythology of a family's tumultuous life. Join us for readings from each of these brilliant poets!
