Overview

You may ride, but do you practice? Adult group clinics for ages 15+ focus on technical skills, drills, and having fun!

Ready to get those tires off the ground? We’ll demystify the art of the jump. You’ll learn the proper "pop" technique, how to use your suspension to your advantage, and—most importantly—how to land with total control. Perfect for riders looking to start their jumping journey.

Led by BICP-certified instructors, we’ll use Hale’s Skills Park features, rollers, and controlled takeoffs to build confidence before progressing to larger features. Every rider advances at their own pace.

We’ll cover:

• Body position and bike/body separation

• Pumping and pre-loading technique

• Front wheel lift and rear wheel lift mechanics

• Safe takeoff and controlled landing

• Intro to small tabletops and progressive features

Recommended for:

Riders who are comfortable on trails and able to ride standing for extended periods. This is a Challenge by Choice clinic — no pressure, no ego, just skill progression and community.

Riders must be at least 15 years old to participate in Hale's Adult MTB Clinics.

Mountain bikers of all ages are drawn to Hale’s rugged, varied terrain just miles from Boston’s city line, and we’ve been eagerly expanding youth mountain biking program over the past five years.

Hale MTB Camp focuses on skill-building and ride time for an existing community of young mountain bikers. Youth MTB Club is growing that community through a fantastic team of volunteer coaches who coordinate recreational rides and opportunities to participate in races and events throughout New England. Intrepid Academy at Hale students also enjoy time on the trails as part of their semester at Hale.

We’re thrilled with our progress and are helping hundreds of riders advance, but with your help, we can do more.

Thank you for supporting MTB opportunities for youth by making your donation today.
