TENWEST Explores: Minds Open Forks Ready
TENWEST’s signature family experience invites kids & caregivers to explore big ideas through food, storytelling, and interactive discovery.
Saturday morning at TENWEST is for families!
Hosted at the Children’s Museum Tucson’s new annex building, this interactive, ticketed experience invites kids and caregivers to explore big ideas through food, storytelling, and hands-on discovery.
In partnership with the national nonprofit Mind Open Fork Ready Project, this special TENWEST Explores event transforms tasting into an adventure. Through guided storytime, interactive food stations, and a kid-led “passport” journey, children learn that different can be delicious and that curiosity is a superpower.
Curiosity starts with a single bite.
What to Expect:
- A 9:30–11:30 AM interactive experience designed for families
- 3–5 themed rooms where kids move at their own pace
- Engaging book readings tied to food, culture, and exploration
- Taste & Explore stations featuring local and heritage ingredients
- A VIP Food Adventure Passport experience
Each child receives a VIP badge and completes hands-on challenges throughout the morning, tasting new flavors, learning food stories, and taking the Taste Bud Pledge – a simple commitment to approach the world with openness and courage.
Registration Details:
- All attendees 12 months and older need a ticket.
- Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times.
- Individual tickets and a Family 4-pack options available.
- All tickets include full-day admission to the Children’s Museum, so families can continue the adventure after the program ends.
