Unitaid presents the IMNHC 2026 pre-conference symposiumEvery Woman, Every Newborn, Everywhere: Unlocking Access to Quality Maternal and Newborn Health ProductsBallroom 3 | The Edge Convention Centre | Nairobi, Kenya Monday 23rd March, 8:30 – 14:30----------------------------------------------------------------------------Organized by the Every Woman, Every Newborn, Everywhere Health Products Working Group and Unitaid, this pre-conference symposium will underscore the critical role of quality health products in delivering effective maternal and newborn health services. Designed for all professionals working within the health product value chain, this session aims to equip participants with the knowledge, tools and networks needed to navigate maternal and newborn product access challenges.This session will host the official launch of the EWENE Pathway to improved access to quality MNH products and the Unitaid Solutions for improving access to quality maternal and newborn health products landscape, and demonstrate ways to utilize these resources in their everyday professional roles.Through data-driven presentations, expert panels, and interactive discussions, participants will deepen their understanding of key access challenges and learn about new initiatives – including Unitaid’s latest efforts to accelerate progress against preeclampsia and anemia in pregnancy.Lunch will be provided. Drawing on the legacy of the Every Newborn Action Plan (ENAP) and Strategies for Ending Preventable Maternal Mortality (EPMM), it harnesses evidence, tracks progress, fosters learning, and promotes equity and quality of care.Quality-assured maternal and newborn health (MNH) products are essential to achieving EWENE’s targets but must be delivered as part of integrated MNH interventions within functioning health systems. Building on the UN Commission on Life-Saving Commodities, EWENE’s managing partners have established an MNH Health Products Working Group to strengthen coordination and collaboration across the MNH commodities ecosystem.
