Come learn the fundamentals of structural MIG welding

We will start with a review off PPE used in unit 1 ), followed by an introduction of PPE that will be used in todays lesson, Introduction to MIG welding. Appropriate attire: long sleeves and pants made from natural fiber (cotton, leather, denim. NO POLY!!!), Closed toe shoes or boots, leather with no laces are ideal.Student should come away with:*knowledge of appropriate PPE and attire*The ability to prepare the metals to be welded, adjust the machine to the apropriate voltage, wire speed, and gas pressure.*diagnose and fix wire stuck to the tip of the gun.*Name a majority of the parts of the welder and gun.(gun,lead, ground clamp,drive wheel, Gas gauge, wire feed and voltage dials, etc.)*As with all units, class will finish with a question and answer period followed by putting away all equipment, shop cleanup, and a recap test to see how much the student retained!*All you need to bring is a water bottle and positive attitude!*Proper attire required : long sleeves and pants made from natural fiber(cotton, leather, denim.
