Explore a safer, contemporary approach to intaglio printmaking using an electro-etching tank.

Learn one of the many amazing and engaging printmaking techniques at Alchemy!  We offer press-based classes, screenprinting, alternative process printmaking, and more.

Designed for artists looking to expand their technical skills, this demo focuses on electro etching, a non toxic alternative to traditional acid processes that reduces hazardous fumes while offering precise control over line and tone. Participants will learn how to prepare copper plates, use the electro-etching tank, and develop tonal imagery through aquatint techniques, all within a safer and more environmentally conscious studio framework.This demo is taught by visiting artist-in-residence <a href="https://alchemyartcenter.com/2026-artistsinresidence" title="https://alchemyartcenter.com/2026-artistsinresidence" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Zoe Nielsen.</a> Zoe joins us for the month of May.
