Overview

Learn watercolor techniques at this youth-focused outdoor class! A three part series this spring.

Join us for this special art series: Watercolors in Nature!

Camille is an artist, nature educator, and volunteer with The Land Conservancy of San Luis Obispo County. This spring we are partnering on a three part series to introduce basic watercolor skills. These events are designed to be supportive and engaging for young people and are open to everyone looking to try their hand at creating art in nature. This series is best for youth aged eight and older with the participation of a parent or other supporting adult. All are invited to attend!

In this third and final gathering of a three part series, we will focus on:

  • Intention: creating without judgment
  • Skills: how to observe and bring awareness to the subject, noticing value changes

Participation in all three Art Walks is encouraged by not required. Sign up for Art Walk #1 and Art Walk #2.

Materials can be provided for students on the walk so please look for a follow up email with the opportunity to indicate you would like to use our supplies. If you would like to purchase your own materials, a suggested supplies list will also be included.

Entry to the ranch requires access through locked gates. Attendees must arrive withing the 15 minute access window in order to enter the property. Please plan travel accordingly! More information will be shared via email before the event.
