On Wednesday, March 25, Broadmoor Bistro is proud to welcome Chefs Helen Jo and Johnny Leach for the third event in our Guest Chef Dinner Series. Joining them for the evening is Broadmoor Bistro alum and SMSD graduate Chef Jack Steadham, now a member of the acclaimed kitchen at The Town Co.
Fresh off the heels of James Beard Award nominations, Helen Jo and Johnny Leach have earned national recognition for their work at The Town Co. and their newest concept Dear Donna. Known for thoughtful technique, bold flavors, and refined hospitality, their cooking reflects a modern perspective rooted in craft and collaboration.
For this special evening, the Leachs will work alongside Broadmoor Bistro culinary students and Chef Jack Steadham, returning to the kitchen where his culinary career began, to present a one night collaborative menu celebrating mentorship, creativity, and the next generation of chefs.

Chefs Helen Jo and Johnny Leach are the culinary force behind The Town Co., the nationally recognized restaurant inside Kansas City's historic Hotel Kansas City, as well as their newest concept Dear Donna.
Their work has received national acclaim for its thoughtful approach to modern American cuisine, blending seasonal ingredients with refined technique and global inspiration. The pair have been recognized by the James Beard Foundation, earning nominations that highlight their leadership and creativity within the national dining scene.
About Chef Jack Steadham
Chef Jack Steadham is a Shawnee Mission School District graduate and Broadmoor Bistro alum who now works in the kitchen at The Town Co. under Chefs Helen Jo and Johnny Leach.
Returning to Broadmoor for this dinner brings his journey full circle as he collaborates once again with the program where his culinary path began.
