In Person: Dental Kit Assembly

Broad Street Food PantryColumbus, OH
Wednesday, Apr 1 from 6 pm to 7:30 pm
Overview

Children will learn about food insecurity and assemble dental hygiene kits for clients of the Broad Street Food Pantry.

Who this In Person Event is for:

Ages 4-12. Adult caregivers are required to accompany child participants. Siblings of participants outside this age range are welcome but may find the event to be less meaningful and fulfilling.

What you’ll be doing:

When families struggle to buy food, it can also be difficult to afford other necessities such as toothbrushes and toothpaste. Join us to learn about food insecurity in our community, help assemble dental hygiene kits, and tour Broad Street Food Pantry.

Optionally, families can collect unused or purchase personal care items like soap, individual toiletries, hairbrushes, lotion, and hair ties ahead of time and then bring them to the event. We will provide a flyer in your confirmation email to help your child conduct their own neighborhood personal care item drive if you choose.

Specific Instructions:

All supplies will be provided.

Why you'll be asked to pay a supply fee and donate:

On the next page, you'll be asked to pay a fee to offset supply costs for this event. These fees are non-refundable. If you have to cancel your registration later, please know that your fee will go toward our efforts to create more meaningful service-focused programs for kids.

Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.

We never want supply fees to prevent someone from participating in a Seeds of Caring project. If you would like assistance covering your supply fees, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org and we will register you for free, no questions asked.
