Join The Land Conservancy for a hike on the 1,700-acre scenic Santa Rita Ranch west of Templeton. The ranch is home to some of SLO County’s most iconic views of Morro Rock and the Pacific Ocean along with rich ecological diversity and geology.
Please note this is will be a strenuous hike. For an easier Santa Rita Ranch hike, check out the March 13th hike. This 6-mile hike will circle the 234 acre-foot reservoir that feeds Santa Rita Creek, before climbing 600 feet for spectacular views of Morro Rock, Hollister Peak and the Pacific Ocean.
This hike will begin promptly at 9 am and we should be back at our vehicles by 12:30 pm.
The Land Conservancy purchased Santa Rita Ranch in 2020 to permanently protect precious freshwater resources and homes for wildlife.
