Anywhere: Mother's Day Care Kits thru 4.19.26

Location TBD
Friday, Apr 17 to Sunday, Apr 19
Overview

Help moms staying at the Van Buren Center feel appreciated this Mother's Day by assembling Care Kits.

Who this Anywhere Project is for:

Ages 2-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at programs@seedsofcaring.org.

What you'll be doing:

Show appreciation for all moms this Mother's Day! Explore how mothers balance care for others and care for themselves. Then get helping hands busy by packing Care Kits filled with special treats for mothers staying at the Van Buren Center.

When you'll be doing it:

This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are!

This project is on-going. Families and groups may participate anytime until the project ends on Apr 19th. Donations may be porch-dropped from 9am - 7pm on April 17-19 to a Seeds of Caring volunteer in Dublin, New Albany, or Upper Arlington. Addresses will be provided in your service packet.

How it all works:

Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email programs@seedsofcaring.org for assistance.

The meaning-making:

Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you'll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project's guided discussion focuses on kindness.

Approximate Cost:

Approximately $10 per kit including items like a journal, mints, socks, and more (full packing list included in service packet).

Why you'll be invited to donate:

Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.

This service opportunity is made possible through the generous support of The Center for HumanKindness and The Walter Foundation.
