ARTS FOR VETERANS INITIATIVE - Improv & Expressive Arts Workshop
Unleash your creativity with improv and expressive arts made just for veterans!
🎭 Improv for Veterans
Arts for Veterans Initiative | The Venue at 1201
Laughter builds connection.
This introductory improv class invites veterans to rediscover creativity, connection, and a little bit of joyful play. Through interactive theater games and spontaneous exercises, participants will laugh, collaborate, and stretch their comfort zones in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Improv isn’t about being funny - it’s about being present. It strengthens communication, sharpens focus, and builds trust. Along the way, it can also reduce stress, boost confidence, and offer a refreshing mental reset.
Participants will:
• Dive into guided improv games designed for beginners
• Practice listening, responding, and thinking on their feet
• Build confidence in a relaxed, judgment-free space
• Experience laughter as a tool for connection and stress relief
• Strengthen camaraderie with fellow veterans
No scripts.
No stage pressure.
No performance experience required.
Just a welcoming space to breathe, laugh, connect - and try something new.
