Overview

Explore poetry and storytelling in a welcoming workshop designed to help your voice take shape.

✍️ Creative Writing for Veterans

Arts for Veterans Initiative | The Venue at 1201

Every story matters.

This creative writing workshop invites veterans to explore poetry, storytelling, and reflection in a calm, encouraging space. No writing experience is necessary - just a willingness to put pen to paper.

Through guided prompts and simple exercises, participants will:

• Learn approachable techniques for writing poetry

• Explore memory, imagery, and storytelling

• Write in short, manageable formats

• Share (optional) in a respectful setting

This is not a critique-based class. It is a space for creative expression, growth, and connection.

You do not have to be a “writer” to attend - just curious.

✍️ April 17th, 10-12am, Materials provided

🎟 Free to attend | Registration required

📍 1201 S Federal Hwy, Lake Worth Beach, FL

This program is made possible through grant support from the Cornelia T Bailey Foundation.

Please note: This class is exclusively for U.S. military veterans.
