Prerequisite Skills: Students should know how to knit and purl
Take your beginner skills to the next level with this fun, hands-on project! In this three-week class, we’ll knit cozy fingerless mitts flat and seam them together, giving you experience with shaping and finishing techniques that make your projects look polished and wearable.
You’ll learn:
- Shaping with increases and decreases
- Ribbing and other finishing techniques
- Seaming flat pieces neatly
- Tips and tricks to make your knitting smoother, even, and more confident
This class is designed for new knitters who want to build skill and confidence — and is open to anyone who knows the basics and wants to expand their knowledge with a quick, practical project.
By the end of the course, you’ll have a finished pair of fingerless mitts and skills you can apply to future projects!
Supplies Needed:
- Bulky weight yarn
- US 10 (6 mm) straight needles
- Stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
