We will discuss the basics of a fair housing allegation and in-depth about familial status and sex as protected classes.
This online training will discuss the legacy of the Fair Housing Act (FHA) as we acknowledge the 58th anniversary of its passage, the basics of the Fair Housing Act, including the jurisdictional elements of a fair housing complaint and examples of discriminatory conduct by housing providers, as well as a closer look at the protected classes of Sex - added to the FHA in 1974 and Familial Status (the presence of children under the age of 18) added to the FHA in 1988.
