Do I need any prior experience working with glass to attend the workshop?

No prior experience is required! Our workshop is designed for all skill levels, including beginners. Our fully qualified instructor will guide you through each step, and we have patterns you can make which are suitable for a range of skill levels.

What should I wear to the workshop?

Accepted Answer

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Also, consider bringing an apron or an old shirt to protect your clothes from glass fragments. We have spare aprons with us on the day and can provide you with one if needed.

Question 3

What will I learn during the workshop?

Accepted Answer

You'll learn traditional copper foil stained glass techniques, including glass cutting, glass foiling, assembly and soldering. By the end you'll have created a stunning sun chatcher to display in your window or a variety of smaller pieces to display or give as gifts.

What is provided?

We provide all the necessary materials, including glass, copper foil, solder etc. We also provide all tools and safety equipment. You'll have access to a variety of glass colors and textures to create your design.

Can I take my finished piece home the same day?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. You will most likely finish your project same day. Some finishing touches might be needed, and if so you'll be provided with guidance on final steps to ensure your piece is ready to display.

Is there an age restriction on the workshop?

Accepted Answer

Our workshop is suitable for participants aged 16 and above. Younger participants are welcome and may join if accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Question 7

How long is the workshop?

The workshop runs from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with time for lunch and refreshment breaks. This allows you to immerse yourself in the stained glass artistry.

Question 8

Can I bring my own design, or are there pre-set patterns to choose from?

We provide a range of design options which are suitable for a range of experience levels and are designed to be achievable in the time allotted. You're welcome to bring your own idea but please email us beforehand. Unfortunately we cannot acoomodate custom designs if booked onto the half day course.

Is Lunch provided during the workshop?

Lunch is not provided, however there will be several scheduled breaks in which you can enjoy your own packed lunch, or explore the variety of lunch options in the local area. There will be a variety of biscuits, cakes and hot drinks available and included in the course cost.

How do I secure my spot for the workshop?
