A note from the host:This event will kick off with an opening reception for Nature on the Line, an Earth Day artexhibition exploring the landscapes where nature and industry meet. This exciting collaboration celebrates themes of environmental transformation, community connection, creativity, and the evolving relationship between industry and natural environment.In addition, we will also showcase artwork created by summer internship students focused on native plants selected for the College’s new Flora Park, currently under construction. This work will be installed as a permanent display leading into the Bernard Gallery, where the exhibition and film screening will take place.The Flora Park project will enhance the natural beauty of the college neighborhood by transforming a former industrial parking lot into a restorative green space for recreation, reflection, and ecological diversity, where residents can enjoy an abundance of flora and fauna. The Flora Park will also extend the existing bike trail through the park and along campus, helping complete a loop around the North Basin of George Lake and improving community access to green space.Connect with local community resource vendors and enjoy complimentary refreshments throughout the evening.
