Central Reform TempleBoston, MA
Sunday, June 7  •  5 PM - 7 PM
Overview

A concert of the greatest synagogue compositions of the 19th and early 20th centuries

Our season finale, Sacred Musical Majesty, co-sponsored by Rabbi Michael Shire’s Central Reform Temple (housed at Emmanuel Church), features renowned Cantor Josh Breitzer and Zamir’s own organist Edwin Swanborn. Under the leadership of Zamir’s Artistic Director Josh Jacobson, the program also includes premiere performances of rediscovered liturgical masterworks by Cantor Helman Lieber, the late father of Frumie Lieber Burns, wife of Zamir tenor David Burns—the couple are also serving as co-sponsors for this event. There will be a dedication to Zamir board member, the late Dr. Bruce Donoff, as well.
