This session focuses on practical steps individuals, families, and communities can take to navigate the recovery phase after a disaster. Participants will learn how to stabilize their household, access recovery resources, document damages, protect important information, and begin rebuilding in a way that strengthens long term resilience.
The session also explores how preparedness before a disaster can significantly improve recovery outcomes. Attendees will gain guidance on financial readiness, insurance awareness, recovery planning, and strategies for rebuilding safer and stronger following hurricanes, floods, freezes, and other emergencies.
By the end of the session, participants will better understand the recovery process and leave with actionable tools to help their households and communities recover more effectively after a disaster.
