Disaster Preparedness & Community Resilience
Join us in person and learn how to prep for disasters and build a stronger, safer community together!
This interactive session is designed to reduce the impacts of disasters by strengthening preparedness at both the household and community levels. Participants will engage in practical, forward-thinking planning that builds readiness before an event occurs and supports stability throughout the disaster lifecycle.
The experience is organized into focused learning tracks so participants can choose the area most relevant to their needs. Each track reinforces core resilience principles, including planning, protecting critical information and assets, maintaining health and well-being during disruptions, and understanding pathways to recovery.
This workshop will feature two sets of panels:
Panel 1: supports household preparedness through communication planning and simple actions that increase confidence and readiness.
Panel 2: focuses on community resilience through hub house development and legal strategies to protect your investments.
A separate kids' session will be held to ensure that your kids are well-prepared for disasters.
