You’re managing. You’re coping. You’re keeping everything going. But your body? It’s tired. It’s tense. It doesn’t know how to switch off. Even when things are “fine”… you don’t feel fully at ease.
This isn’t just stress. This is what it feels like when your nervous system has been holding too much for too long.

- you feel responsible for everything and everyone
- you’re functioning… but not actually okay underneath

This is not about fixing you, it’s about gently helping your body come out of survival mode.
Through guided, body-based practices, you will:
- begin to understand what your body is holding
- learn how to respond to overwhelm in real time
- experience moments of genuine calm and grounding
- reconnect with a sense of safety within yourself
You don’t need to perform, share, or “get it right.” You can simply come as you are.

Each session includes:
- Grounding & Arrival – settle in, feel safe, orient to the space
- Accessible Nervous System Education – learn why your stress responses make sense
- Embodied & Creative Exploration – movement and somatic practices, journaling, drawing, or guided reflection
- Practical Tools – simple techniques to use anytime, anywhere
- Reflection & Integration – consolidate learning and apply insights to your daily life,
This is a soft, steady space, where nothing is forced, only invited.

Rooted and Rising is a 12-session series designed to help women notice, understand, and regulate stress responses in daily life. Each session is standalone, so you can attend one or many.
Through embodied awareness, movement, nervous system education, and practical tools, we explore how stress shows up in the body, and how to respond with curiosity, compassion, and choice.
This workshop focuses on:
- 🌸 Stress awareness – understanding your body’s messages
- 🧘 Nervous system literacy – noticing tension, overwhelm, and fatigue
- 💛 Self-compassion – responding to yourself with care, not criticism
If you feel drained, overextended, or weighed down by responsibilities, this space is for you.

Who is this for?
Adult women of all ages who want to understand stress, connect with their bodies, and build practical, everyday tools. No prior experience required.
Is this therapy or group counseling?
No. This is a skills-based, psychoeducational workshop. While it may feel therapeutic, it is not therapy, and you are never required to share personal history.
I’m nervous about attending a group.
That’s normal! You can participate quietly, observe, or join fully — your pace, your choice. The space is safe, low-pressure, and professionally held.
Do I have to share?
No. Sharing is optional. Exercises invite reflection but verbal participation is always your choice.
Do I need to bring anything?
Optional: journal, sketchbook, or creative materials, though materials will be provided.
Am I too old or too young?
If you identify as a woman, you’re welcome. This space is inclusive of all adult ages.
I’m in therapy — is this okay?
Yes. This can complement personal therapy, but is not a substitute for individual or crisis support.
Who facilitates this workshop?
👩⚕️ This workshop is led by an HCPC-registered therapist with specialist experience in trauma, stress, and nervous system regulation. The session is professionally guided, safe, and psychologically informed, designed to be reflective and restorative without requiring disclosure.

Eve Howard (she/her) is a Dramatherapist from South East London. She teaches movement on a therapy training programme and is a Movement Medicine Apprentice Teacher.
