Meet artist Stephen Hendee for the reveal of Gold Linear Beam

A reception to celebrate the installation of a new 40' sculpture by artist Stephen Hendee.

In 2025 The Mill commissioned Baltimore based artist Stephen Hendee to create a new work spanning 40' in length in the entryway passage to our speakeasy, The Knock. Gold Linear Beam is a site specific sculptural installation comprised of 10 modules coated in reflective gold laser cut cast acrylic. The smooth mirror-like finish is interrupted with geometric faceted insets, refracting light and objects nearby. Located in proximity to Hendee's 2024 illuminated light sculpture, Buisine, visitors are invited to delve deeper into the artist's world.
