*****Join award-winning author Laing Rikkers and grief specialist Barri Leiner Grant at Bedford Books for a thoughtful, uplifting conversation inspired by Morning Leaves: Cultivating a Life of Beauty, Meaning, and Joy. Together, they’ll explore how creativity, nature, and self-care can help us rediscover moments of lightness and connection, even after loss or during times of transition.The evening will focus on cultivating joy, honoring resilience, and finding beauty in the everyday.Copies of Morning Leaves will be available for sale and signing, and light refreshments will be served. Ticket price includes a $20 shopping credit to use at the event.About Laing Rikkers:Laing Rikkers was raised in New York City and earned her BA from Harvard College, followed by an MA in psychology from Columbia University. She spent most of her career as a medical device investor and co-founded ProSomnus Sleep Technologies. Currently, she works as an executive coach and public speaker, supporting leaders through periods of transition and growth. Laing lives in Southern California with her husband and their spirited dog and is the proud mother of two adult children.About Barri Leiner Grant:Barri Leiner Grant is the Chief Grief Officer™ of The Memory Circle. Grant left her career as a publicist and reporter to pursue full-time work as a Certified Grief Coach, ICF. She has studied with leading names in the grief space, including grief certification with Claire Bidwell Smith, Hope Edelman, David Kessler, and Dora Carpenter. She combines her writing background and yoga/meditation training to craft a one-of-a-kind way forward. She believes that with her grief-tending techniques, we can honor and learn to live with loss. Her work has been featured in The Washington Post, Psychology Today, essays on Maria Shriver’s Sunday Paper and Zibby Magazine, and on award-winning podcasts, television appearances, and radio shows.
