Do you have to be 21+ to attend?

Wine is served to ages 21+, but ALL are welcome to attend. Those who don't drink or aren't of age can still walk around, enjoy live music, and shop & dine.  Guests can also explore the event while enjoying a DORA beverage. To receive wine and commemorative tumbler, you must purchase admission.

Can I purchase admission at the event?

We strongly recommend purchasing in advance as the event often sells out. Advanced purchases are offered at a discounted rate of $15 per person.

Where can I park?

Accepted Answer

There are over 7,000 public and private parking spaces in Downtown Evansville. Posted street parking limits are not enforced after 5 PM or on the weekends. The City owned parking garages at 500 Sycamore Street and at 3rd & Locust are also available at a nominal fee.

How do the drink tickets work?

Accepted Answer

Your admission includes two drink tickets, each good for a 4 oz. pour of wine at any of the three wine tents. You can redeem both tickets at once for an 8 oz pour. Extra drink tickets will be available for $5 each near the registration area (cash only).

Question 5

What businesses can I enter with my wine tumbler?

Accepted Answer

You can take your wine tumbler into retailers that do not serve alcohol, as long as they have an official “DORA Cups Welcome Here” sticker near their entrance. You may not bring your drink into an establishment that serves alcoholic beverages. You must finish your wine before entering.

Where are restrooms located?

Public restrooms will be available on the 400 Block of Main Street, across from Jimmy John's.

Will there be food available?

Accepted Answer

Complimentary snacks will be available at the hospitality tent and there are over 30 restaurants in Downtown Evansville. Plan ahead and make reservations!  Visit downtownevansville.com/drinkanddine for a full list. Charcuterie boards will also be available for purchase.

What happens if it rains?

Accepted Answer

Events organized by Downtown Evansville are subject to cancellation if the National Weather Service issues an alert indicating flash flooding, sustained rainfall, or  a high probability of thunderstorms. In the event of severe weather conditions, we will notify attendees and respective parties.

Question 9

What is the refund or cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Admission is non-refundable.  If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your admission to another person by editing the order via Eventbrite and updating the attendee's name and email address.

Is this event pet-friendly?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the Wine Walk is pet-friendly! We just ask that all dogs be kept on a leash and under your control for the safety and enjoyment of all attendees. Please clean up after your pet. For a list of pet waste bag locations, visit downtownevansville.com/dogfriendly

Can I purchase full bottles of wine at the event?

Yes, you can purchase bottles of wine at the event from the participating wineries. Please note that all purchased bottles must remain unopened while inside the DORA. A map of the DORA boundaries can be found at downtownevansville.com/DORA

Question 12

How do I check-in?

Accepted Answer

When you arrive at the registration tent on the 300 Block of Main Street, please have your valid ID, the  buyer's name, and your QR code ready for scanning. After getting checked-in, you will receive your commemorative tumbler, drink tickets, and passport.
