Please Note: This is an introductory, 2-hour workshop designed for food lovers and beginners. The focus is on the cultural history, the art of filling/folding, and the social experience. This is not a technical culinary course; it is a "sip, fold, and taste" event perfect for a night out!
What to Expect
Step into the world of Argentine flavors in a relaxed atmosphere. This session is designed to be approachable and interactive, focusing on the skills you need to assemble and bake perfect empanadas at home using professional tips.
In this workshop, you will:
- The Secrets of the "Masa": Chef Katriel will explain the characteristics of the perfect empanada dough and the differences between baking and frying. (Note: To maximize our 2-hour window, pre-made artisanal shells are provided for assembly).
- Authentic Fillings: Learn about the traditional ingredients that make a "Mendocina" empanada unique. We provide chef-prepared fillings using our signature Nativo Spices so you can focus on the perfect balance of flavors.
- Master the "Repulgue": This is the heart of the class! You will spend hands-on time learning the traditional folding techniques (Repulgue) that identify different fillings and keep the juices locked inside.
- From Oven to Table: Watch your creations bake to golden perfection and enjoy them fresh in a warm, social setting with fellow foodies.
