Guided Wildflower Hike - Pump Station

Guided Wildflower Hike - Pump Station

Overview

1.5 mile guided hike of the Pump Station access at Eno River State Park. This hike is fairly easy on a well-maintained trail.

This is a hike on a well maintained trail. With luck and the right flowering time, you might see a Ladyslipper orchid! This is an easy hike with a few gentle hills and is known for the beauty of the wildflowers that bloom each spring. Walking sticks are recommended as we will step off trail.

This hike will take approximately two hours (sometimes less, sometimes more). Please feel free to bring water and snacks. Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are under your control and on a 6 foot leash.

Children under the age of 6 do not require a ticket.

This event is rain or shine. We will contact you if severe weather is expected that would cause us to cancel the hike.

There is no need to print your ticket - we have you on the list now!

If your plans change and you are unable to attend the hike, please contact hillary@enoriver.org to cancel your registration so that we may offer your spot(s) to our waitlist.

Directions: IMPORTANT - There are two Pump Sation trailheads along Rivermont Road. We will meet at the second trailhead on Rivermont when coming from Cole Mill Road. Park along the road at the bridge over Nancy Rhodes Creek, on Rivermont Drive. We will meet next to the bridge. Rivermont runs between Cole Mill and Valley Springs. The address is 4023 Rivermont Road, Durham, NC 27712.
