The Chattery cultivates and fosters a community of learners and teachers through fun, affordable and accessible learning experiences throughout Chattanooga.As a nonprofit, The Chattery brings an unlimited variety of classes to our community ranging from the arts to financial planning.  We not only serve as ambassadors who bring awesome classes and workshops to Chattanooga but we’re also helping cultivate and encourage your passions.In other words, our classes are dreamt up and taught by you, a member of our community.All classes are for adults aged 18 and up unless otherwise noted.

This class is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to use tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, and NotebookLM in an easy-to-understand way.In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn:<ul><li>What prompting is and why it matters</li><li>Simple prompt formulas anyone can use</li><li>How to ask AI for travel plans, meal ideas, research and fact-checking, writing and editing help</li><li>How to talk to AI naturally and get better answers</li><li>How to fix mistakes when AI misunderstands your question</li></ul>Perfect for beginners, older adults, small business owners, realtors, or anyone curious about how AI can make life easier. No experience needed—just bring your device and be ready to learn!About the teacher:Laura Kirkpatrick is a marketing professional , and AI educator who has recently completed her Certification in Generative AI from Cornell University. She teaches ongoing AI workshops at the Catoosa County Chamber of Commerce, helping business owners, professionals, and everyday users understand how to integrate AI into their daily work and personal lives.With a background in marketing, real estate, small-business consulting, and digital design, Laura brings a practical, hands-on teaching style that makes complex technology simple, approachable, and fun.
