Forward Pinellas and the City of Tarpon Springs are hosting the 10th annual BIKE YOUR CITY on Saturday, April 25th. The event is FREE.About Bike Your City: Bike Your City is a slow-paced, family-friendly bike ride that showcases the many beautiful sights and wonderful amenities around Pinellas County. On this guided and slow tour, riders will learn about roadway safety and trail etiquette while exploring beautiful local amenities. Since 2017, over 2,000 people have participated in Bike Your City!BYC is a registered event with Rails to Trails Conservancy’s <a href="https://www.railstotrails.org/celebratetrailsday/" title="https://www.railstotrails.org/celebratetrailsday/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Celebrate Trails Day</a>. Registration starts at 8:30am on the day of the event.Participants 15 years old and younger are required to wear a helmet in accordance with<a href="https://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2022/0316.2065" title="https://www.flsenate.gov/Laws/Statutes/2022/0316.2065" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer"> Florida Law</a>. All participants are encouraged to wear a helmet.There will not be lessons on bike riding at this event. All bike riders must be able to complete the multi-mile bike ride physically and safely. Riding facilities can vary including wide roads with street parking, narrow neighborhood streets, shared-use paths, and crossing of major roads. Participants should expect to encounter other people walking, bicycling, and driving during the ride.Photographs will be taken.
