Kaamatan Perth 2026
Overview
North Bornean’s biggest harvest celebration - right here in Perth!
Sabahans, this is your moment. Western Australia, this is your invitation.
For one unforgettable day, Perth comes alive with the spirit of Kaamatan - a celebration straight from the heart of Sabah, Malaysian Borneo.
Expect a cultural takeover packed with:
- Traditional dances that tell stories of heritage and pride
- Authentic Malaysian and Sabahan flavours that hit home (and win new hearts)
- Mrs Tavanus pageant
- Sugandoi (singing) Competition
- Exciting raffles - over 50 prizes and a $1000 Grand Prize to be won
- Best-dressed (male, female, children)
- Live performances and poco poco (can't skip this!)
For Sabahans, it’s a taste of home - a chance to reconnect, celebrate our roots, and show up strong as a community.
For our fellow Western Australians, this is your chance to experience one of Borneo’s most meaningful and joyful festivals!
It’s where strangers become friends, and friends become family.
