SEEK FEST

We're putting on a celebration of great music, great art, great beer, and great people. It's gonna have everything: world-class live music/DJs, craft local brews, delicious food for all diets, stunning visual art that you can take home, relaxing massages...the works. And we're making this happen to support our local San Diego community, and remind you (and ourselves) what life is all about. Shit's crazy yo, let's enjoy some good food, good drinks, and good ol' fashioned human creativity together.

MUSIC LINEUP:

• BIG TRIPPIN is a Bay Area based improvisation-laced vehicle for exploring state-of-the-art grooves. Encompassing rock, hip hop, funk and jazz, the collective is built on the loose and limber rhythm section tandem of bassist Giulio Xavier Cetto and Grammy award-winning former Mars Volta/Thundercat drummer Thomas Pridgen. Their unique sound is rounded out by Javier Santiago on keys and John Palowitch on saxophone, and are known for surprise "collective" shows utilizing California's most talented artists, including emcees, vocalists, and instrumentalists alike. Kowan Turner will be filling in for Thomas for this performance.
• Dolphin Hyperspace is a Los Angeles based electro-jazz duo led by saxophonist Nicole McCabe & bassist Logan Kane. Widely known for legendary concerts featuring instrumental madness amongst zany synths and bonkers dance beats, Dolphin Hyperspace finds a new lane of expression within modern jazz and beat culture. They often collaborate with LA’s finest drummers, namely Louis Cole & Justin Brown. A high energy electronic jazz show at its finest with uniquely dynamic production—featuring new music off of their May release ECHOLOCATION!
• Fistfights With Wolves is a San Diego based progressive rock eight piece that blurs the boundaries of classical chamber music and hard rock by weaving epic narratives with their development driven compositions in idioms adjacent to zeuhl and math rock. They will be debuting new music from their fourth LP, Sea Shanties For Future Sailors, releasing on June 1st! You can check out one of their past concerts live on YouTube.
• Band Argument is a San Diego-based trio composed of Jake Kelsoe on guitar, Sila Damone on bass and vocals, and Jordan Krimston ond drums who are known for their lo-fi math rock with influences of drum and bass. They are often compared to artists like Palm, Women, and King Crimson. You can check out their latest release, Get Real, here.
• Tardigrade Collective is a San Diego-based mathcore/metal/jazz trio with Ryan Bradley on guitar, Nolan Fewell on drums, and Bradley Nash on saxophone. They will be performing works from their upcoming their sophomore album at Studio West & The Escondido Music And Art Company, the first single of which you can listen to here.
• Josh Lake aka Lake Haus is a San Diego based DJ specializing in house, techno, and high-energy grooves. A veteran of the warehouse scene, his set will help put you at ease as you sip some beers and peruse the selections by our art vendors!
• Sebastian Kleinerman aka BóGO is a San Diego based DJ whose name derives from the heart of Colombia's capital, Bogotá. His music taste, ranging from Vallenatos and Reggaeton to Hip-Hop and Trap, has inspired his current original sound. His style aims to create a unique sonic landscape representing his cultural heritage and also pay homage to his long standing love for House. His productions are captivating, rhythmic, bass-heavy productions and always deeply rooted in Latin music.

This event is collaboration between the San Diego Music and Art Company, The Blank Slate, Seek Beer Co, Move Your Piano San Diego, & The Musicians Empowerment Collective (a 501c3 noprofit organization). A portion of proceeds will be going towards The Musicians Empowerment Collective's mission to empower our music community through grants to low income musicians.
