Will there be a formal ceremony at Black Graduation?

Yes, there will be a formal ceremony. The schedule of events is included in the agenda above.

Do I need to register to attend Black Graduation?

Accepted Answer

All graduates must register to participate in Black Graduation. Black Faculty & Staff should RSVP to participate in the ceremony procession. Black Alumni are encouraged to register, but it is not required. Guests do not need to register.

Question 3

What should I wear?

Graduates are expected to wear a cap and gown for the Ceremony. Faculty that are participating in the program are expected to wear their regalia. We request that all guests dress in family-appropriate attire.

Is there parking on site?

Yes, there is parking available in the church parking lot on a first come first serve basis. There should be enough parks for all attendees and guests.

Question 5

How many guests can I bring to Black Graduation?

Accepted Answer

There is no limit to the number of guests graduates can bring to the event. Guests do not need to register.

How do I donate?

Accepted Answer

You can donate to Black Graduation by clicking 'Get Tickets' and selecting the 'Donation' ticket prior to checking out. You can donate to our Endowed Scholarships through this link: https://www.texasexes.org/scholarship-gift?AccountId=001f4000017bzTKAAY.

Will Black Graduation conflict with other college ceremonies?

No. This year, we moved the start time to 9 am CST to avoid any conflicts with other graduation ceremonies. Our program will run from 9 am to 11 am. Graduates are allowed to leave early if they need to.
