Blues royalty comes to The River Room as The Paul Gabriel Blues Band takes the stage for an unforgettable night of world-class live blues as part of the 2026 Willimantic Winter Blues Festival.
Paul Gabriel is a Blues Music Award nominee, Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, Blues Hall of Fame inductee, and New England Music Hall of Fame inductee — a master guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and bandleader whose career spans more than five decades. Honored by the Connecticut Blues Society for excellence in guitar playing, singing, songwriting, and entertainment, Paul has built a reputation as one of New England’s most powerful and authentic blues voices.
Over the years, he has shared the stage with legends including B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, James Cotton, Johnny Winter, Delbert McClinton, Susan Tedeschi, Joe Bonamassa, Tower of Power, and many more. His acclaimed release “What’s The Chance” — produced by Duke Robillard — earned a Blues Music Award nomination and charted nationally, while his album “Man Of Many Blues” showcases 13 original tracks blending deep blues roots with touches of jazz, ’60s R&B, soulful backing vocals, and even a twilight-zone rocker.
