Geist & the Sacred Ensemble - One of the Pacific Northwest’s hidden societies, GEIST & THE SACRED ENSEMBLE forges doom-inflected folk ritualism: dirges laced with experimental psychedelia, post-rock, and meditative eeriness. For years, the group has given the West Coast underground a focused vision for their sound and lyrics. They create an otherworldly space, leading listeners into trance and then building excitement. The overarching lyrical theme is idealism: their lyrics long to transcend alienation, confronting and dismantling societal oppression to imagine a freer future. Their music is an invocation, not just an emotional expression.
