The Atlanta Preservation Center is the City’s private non-profit preservation organization. Founded in 1979, the Atlanta Preservation Center promotes the preservation of Atlanta's architecturally, historically and culturally significant buildings, neighborhoods and landscapes through education and advocacy.

Blandtown on Atlanta’s Westside is booming, but few know the neighborhood by its proper name nor its history.  Learn more about the former African American community through a neighborhood walk led by artist Gregor Turk and author Dr. Rhana Gittens Wheeler. Her recent book, Ghosts of Atlanta, in part examines Blandtown's cultural gentrification.  The tour starts at one of the last remaining original Blandtown homes, now an artist studio. Featured in the studio is artwork created in response to the history and development of the neighborhood. <ul><li>If the event is full, please sign up for the waiting list. You will be notified if a spot becomes available.</li><li>Additional street parking is available on Fairmont and Culpepper Streets.</li></ul>
