Plaza de la Raza's School of Performing & Visual Arts provides students across Los Angeles County with opportunities to engage first-hand in the arts, and offers courses in four major disciplines: visual art, dance, music and theatre. Open to students of all ages, courses range from entry level to conservatory level, with free classes for qualifying low income families, Plaza de la Raza has something for everyone!

The performances will take place at the Margo Albert Theatre at Plaza de la Raza (3540 N. Mission Rd. LA, CA. 90031) - as part of our 4th Annual Mexica New Year Celebration - on Friday, March 6 at 7:00 PM, Saturday, March 7 at 7:00 PM and Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 2:00 PM. What is LA Ofrenda?LA Ofrenda is a story of sacrifice and creation; a multimedia Aztec dance performance – converging traditional dances, cosmology, light, video, music, aromas and neo-Mesoamerican regalia in an adaptation of an Aztec creation story of the 5th Sun. LA Ofrenda is an offering to Los Angeles, by providing a beautiful reflection of the community, it’s an opportunity to deepen the viewers appreciation of the living tradition of Danza Azteca. Founded in 1970 by prominent labor, business and civic leaders as a nonprofit organization, it offers affordable after-school, intergenerational arts education programs to 5,100 children, teens and adults each year.
