Bern’s Steak House will host an intimate Right Bank Bordeaux Dinner in the Bordeaux Room, welcoming just forty guests for an evening devoted to the great estates of Saint-Émilion and its neighboring appellations. Join us for a thoughtfully curated exploration of some of Bordeaux’s most distinguished châteaux. Executive Chef Chad Johnson, Chef de Cuisine Brent Hunt, and Pastry Chef Hannah Thomas will present an extravagant menu specifically to complement the wines.

Guiding the evening is Nils Vaincot, Sales Director of Château Quintus, who will share insight on the estate’s philosophy, terroir, and evolution within the Saint-Émilion classification. The wine lineup moves gracefully from Right Bank whites into a remarkable progression of mature and benchmark vintages, including 1961 Château Grand-Pontet, 1982 and 1985 Château Canon, 1999 Château Pavie and Château Cheval Blanc, and 2015 Château Quintus, culminating with a 2009 Secret de Château Biac library release in magnum, introduced by none other than Gabriel Asseily, Owner and Winemaker of Château Biac. It is an evening centered on provenance, age-worthiness, and the quiet thrill of tasting history in the company of those who steward it.

The Laxer Family Foundation is a charitable foundation that provides the opportunity to raise money through events that foster a more inclusive and cooperative youth culture while cultivating the advancement of the next generation of culinary leaders through scholarships. Since 1997, Bern’s Winefest has been the main fundraising event for the Bern Laxer Memorial Scholarship. The Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C•CAP) selection process awards funds to individuals from the state of Florida for culinary and job skills training in food and hospitality. A portion of the proceeds raised through this event will go directly to the Bern Laxer Memorial Scholarship Fund.
