What is IYOU 2026?

IYOU (International Youth of Unity) is a week-long spiritual retreat designed for high school teens involved in Unity and New Thought communities. The event focuses on spiritual growth, self-awareness, leadership development, service, and meaningful connection with teens from around the world.

When and where is IYOU 2026?

IYOU 2026 will be held July 19–23, 2026, at Unity Village in Missouri.
Participants will stay at the Unity Village Hotel & Conference Center, located on the Unity Village grounds.

What does the $375 registration fee include?

The registration fee covers:

Event programming and materials

Meals from Sunday dinner (July 19) through Thursday lunch (July 23)

Hotel accommodations at the Unity Village Hotel & Conference Center

Who can attend as a teen participant?

Accepted Answer

Teen participants must be age 15–19, attending high school during the current  school year, a member of a YOU chapter or active in a Unity ministry or New Thought spiritual center, receive ministerial endorsement, and have completed service in their Unity ministry, spiritual center or community.

Is prior regional YOU attendance required?

Attendance at a prior regional YOU or IYOU event is highly recommended but not required.

What does “ministerial endorsement” mean?

Accepted Answer

Ministerial endorsement means your Unity or spiritual center minister confirms your active participation and supports your attendance at IYOU 2026. There is a form that must be completed as a part of your registration.

How are teens supervised during the event?

Each group of teens must have a designated Event Sponsor (adult) responsible for them during the event. Sponsors are assigned roles and responsibilities by the IYOU Leadership Team to ensure safety, accountability, and smooth operations throughout the week.

Are adults background checked?

Yes. All adult participants must have a background check on file with their home ministry completed within the last two years.

Is safety training required for adults?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Adult participants must complete the IYOU Event Sacred Safety training (or watch the official recording) prior to the event.

What happens in case of a medical emergency?

Accepted Answer

Medical release forms are required for all participants. In the event of an emergency, trained adults will follow established safety protocols and contact parents/guardians as appropriate.

Are there behavioral expectations for teens?

Yes. Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a way that reflects Unity principles and community agreements. A signed Heart Agreement is required as a part of your registration.

Who qualifies as an Event Sponsor?

Accepted Answer

Adult participants must be at least 25 years old, complete Sacred Safety training, have a current background check on file, be designated as the responsible adult for one or more teens, accept a leadership role assigned during the event, and be open to assigned rooming arrangements.

Can I sponsor teens from another ministry?

Yes. You may serve as the designated Event Sponsor for teens from another ministry.

What airport should we use?

Kansas City International Airport (MCI) is approximately 37 miles (about 45 minutes) from Unity Village.

Is airport transportation provided?

Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation. Options include Uber, taxi services, or local transportation providers such as:

Can we arrive early or stay late?

Yes, but any additional hotel nights must be reserved directly with the Unity Village Hotel & Conference Center at (816) 347-5537. Additional nights are not included in the event registration fee.

When is the registration deadline?

The deadline to register is June 12, 2026. No late registrations will be accepted.

Is a payment plan available?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When you purchase your ticket, there is an option for a payment plan.

What is the cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

Written or emailed cancellations received by June 12, 2026, will be refunded minus a $100 processing fee.
No refunds will be issued after June 12, 2026.

When will we receive confirmation?

A confirmation email will be sent once registration is completed and processed. You will receive a confirmation link with details about additional forms that need to be completed. Please ensure your email address is correct when registering.
