Love Conquers All: Part 3 Book Release

Comic book release block Party celebrating Love Conquers All: Part 3 will be an interactive community event featuring live performances.

Love Conquers All is a modern story of healing, resilience, and ownership. The narrative follows Kennedy, a brilliant chef and entrepreneur originally from New Orleans whose life is upended after Hurricane Katrina forces his family to relocate to Oakland. While rebuilding his future, Kennedy struggles with severe mental health challenges stemming from the loss of his sister. Through therapy sessions with Dr. Ever, he is pushed to confront his past and begin the difficult work of healing.

Kennedy’s culinary talent catches the attention of NBA star Blake Wilson, leading to an unexpected partnership. As Kennedy becomes Blake’s personal chef and business partner, the two envision building a Black-owned utopia in Oakland—focused on community empowerment, economic independence, and cultural restoration. As their vision grows, so does the resistance, with powerful forces working to prevent their dream from becoming reality.

Blending social commentary with drama, Love Conquers All explores themes of mental health, displacement, gentrification, and Black ownership in a contemporary urban landscape.

The May 16 Comic Book Release Block Party celebrating Love Conquers All: Part 3 will be an interactive community event featuring live performances, speakers, food, merchandise, and comics. Attendees who purchase the comic will also directly support independent Bay Area musicians, reinforcing the project’s mission of community investment and creative ownership.
