山城書節讀書會 —《逆光而行：香港年輕癌症患者的身影》書籍分享會

癌症常被視為中老年人的專利；然而，即使正值青春年華，也可能在毫無預警下確診癌症，從此被迫暫停學業、事業，以醫院為家。面對這樣突如其來的重擊，他們如何在黑暗中尋找希望？康復後，又該如何與漫長的身心挑戰共處？

是次講座由學者闡釋年輕患者的身心需要，而書中受訪人物更將親身分享生命經歷，並與醫生對談。從真實的故事出發，《逆光而行》與大家一同探討：年輕人如何在逆境中重整步伐，守護自己的精神健康。

Overview

Cancer is often regarded as an illness exclusive to the elderly. Yet, even those in the prime of youth can receive a sudden diagnosis, forcing them to halt their studies or careers, turning hospitals into their homes. Faced with such life-altering setbacks, how do they find hope amid the darkness? After recovery, how do they navigate the long-term physical and mental challenges?

This talk brings together experts who will discuss the unique psychosocial needs of young cancer patients, alongside interviewees featured in in the book, who will share their personal journeys and engage in dialogue with doctors. Drawing from these true stories, 《逆光而行》explores how young people reclaim their footing through adversity and safeguard their mental wellbeing.
