What can I expect at a State of the Woman listening tour session?

Each session will allow for 30 minutes for attendees to settle in and grab a snack. We will then open for discussion

How will the discussion be structured?

The conversation will be moderated and guided by four open-ended prompts. These questions will encourage women to reflect on their past and current experiences and share what they hope the Commission will address moving forward.

Is this a politically affiliated event?

Accepted Answer

No. The Governor’s Advisory Commission on Women is a bipartisan body with both Republican and Democratic appointees. This is a nonpartisan/bipartisan effort, and we want to hear from women across the political spectrum and from every community in Pennsylvania.

Can I bring my children?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you are welcome to bring children to the event. The Altoona session will not feature a kids activity table. We apologize for this inconvenience.
