Creek to Screen: From Curbside to Coastline

TREX - CinemaKernersville, NC
Saturday, Mar 28 from 3 pm to 6 pm
Overview

From storm drain to sea—discover how our creeks connect to the ocean, then enjoy Finding Nemo on the big screen!

Celebrate Forsyth Creek Week with an afternoon of learning and family fun as we explore how our local creeks connect all the way to the ocean.

We’ll begin with the Creek to Coast Kids Zone, featuring light snacks, crafts, games, and engaging activities designed to help families learn about creeks in Forsyth County and how water flows through our community. Discover how storm drains connect to streams, how pollution travels downstream, and simple steps we can take to protect our waterways.

Families will also enjoy a special presentation of All the Way to the Ocean, a powerful story that shows how litter on a sidewalk can travel through storm drains, into creeks, and eventually reach the ocean.

Following the activities and storytime, settle in for a screening of Finding Nemo, a beloved family film that celebrates the beauty and wonder of ocean life.

Come learn, play, and see the journey from curbside to coastline!
