June 2026 ACES Luncheon: Carrie Chenery, VA Secretary of Commerce & Trade

Overview

ACES is dedicated to connecting professionals from the Architecture, Construction, and Engineering, and Surveying industries.

We are proud to present the ACES Networking Luncheon Series presented by Froehling & Robertson and hosted by the Fredericksburg Regional Alliance at the University of Mary Washington.

ACES is a networking luncheon series dedicated to connecting professionals between Richmond and DC, from the Architecture, Construction, Engineering, and Surveying (ACES) industries, a sector that is very active in the adoption of Information, Communication and Technology. These luncheons serve as an opportunity for like-minded individuals to collaborate and network while hearing from industry experts, engaging in insightful conversations and enjoying a local dining experience.

ACES is not an exclusive group and is open to the public. Luncheons will be buffet-style.

Guest Speaker: Carrie Chenery, Virginia Secretary of Commerce & Trade

Carrie H. Chenery is a native Virginian with two decades of experience in economic development, public policy, government relations, and strategic communications. As the founder of Valley Pike Partners, she helps companies grow across the Commonwealth using modern strategies in public affairs and community engagement. Her extensive background includes serving as the Assistant Secretary of Agriculture & Forestry for the Virginia Office of the Governor and as the Executive Director of the Shenandoah Valley Partnership (SVP).

During her tenure at SVP, Carrie successfully unified seven counties and five cities under a shared economic development vision, announced projects representing over $460 million in capital investment, and built coalitions among 160 private sector investors. A graduate of Virginia Tech and the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia, she has been recognized as one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers by Consultant Connect. Carrie’s career is defined by her ability to bridge the gap between legislative priorities and private-sector production to drive regional prosperity.
