Course Description:

Psychological safety has emerged as a critical factor in clinician well-being, ethical practice, and effective team functioning—yet it is often discussed in superficial or overly managerial terms. This training offers a clinically grounded, trauma-informed approach to understanding and fostering psychological safety in workplace and organizational settings. Using an integrative framework informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), self-compassion frameworks, and positive psychology, participants will examine how trauma, chronic stress, power dynamics, shame-based threat responses, and normalized overwork shape workplace culture, communication, and supervision. The training explores how trauma responses often map onto burnout presentations, and how burnout can spread within teams through relational and systemic processes. Designed for clinicians working within teams, supervision, healthcare systems, and organizational contexts, this course translates evidence-based psychotherapy principles into practical strategies for fostering collaboration over competitiveness, delivering feedback in psychologically safe ways, reducing burnout contagion, and supporting values-aligned professional cultures—while maintaining realistic boundaries around individual versus organizational responsibility.
