Can I bring my dog/pet?

Accepted Answer

We prefer that pets do not attend. However, exceptions can be made for special circumstances, dogs must be on a leash. Please email to request permission.

Question 2

Is this a kid friendly event, or adults only?

Accepted Answer

The event is geared for adults, however older children interested in foraging who don't mind spending a few hours hiking off trail in the woods (rain or shine) are welcomed to join. Youth that will be foraging themselves need a ticket for the event.

Question 3

I have a baby/toddler and no childcare, can I bring them?

Accepted Answer

Yes, with the understanding the class is geared for adults, will be off trail, lots of walking potentially in rain. Bring a pack or carrying sling. Understand you may miss some of the educational aspects of the class when tending to your child. No cost or ticked required, but please let me know.

What mushroom books would you recommend?

Accepted Answer

Mushrooms of Cascadia by Schwarz and Siegel (best photos, descriptions and most beginner-friendly). Mushrooms of Cascadia by Michael Beug (most compact for field use, more advanced). Mushrooms of the PNW (revised edition) by Steve Trudell (most economical & user friendly).

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Tickets are fully refundable up to one week before the event and are able to be transferred to another person's name up to the day before.
