Burpee Museum's 2026 Summer Day Camp: Animal Trainer Lab June 22 - 26
Work with real museum animals, explore how they evolved how we care for them, design habitats, and present your work at a family showcase.
Spend a week working with real museum animals as zoologists explore reptiles, amphibians, fish, and river invertebrates. Campers learn how animals evolved, how they live in the wild, and how museums care for them in captivity, then design habitats, enrichment, and training plans to improve animal well-being. The week concludes with a family showcase where campers present their work.
Dates: June 22nd - 26th, Monday - Friday
Time: 10:00 - 3:00pm
Students will be grouped by age and ability
Friday is a share and & explore day where students share what they learned during the week to an audience including parents, families, and guests.
Campers should bring a sack lunch and a beverage daily. There will be fresh filtered water to refill your container.
Cost:
Nonmembers: $240, Members: $200
